Polycycle Solutions Ltd is a family run UK based recycling company, specialising in the processing of various scrap plastics, and the distribution of the resulting high-quality polymers to manufacturers across the UK.
Goal One
Polycycle Solutions doesn’t want to just make change. We want to encourage it. We are hoping to expand, and are anticipating massive growth within the company. Through forging sustainable partnerships with councils, manufacturers, plastic injection moulders, and recycling companies alike - meaningful improvement and advancements in the manufacturing & plastic industry are inevitable. Goal Two
Through our efficient closed loop service, we are not only reducing the amount of plastic waste going to landfill, but also promoting a circular economy and minimising our carbon footprint. We plan to expand our customer base and establish more partnerships with a number of different companies in order to source an increased volume of plastic waste to process - ensuring that we are diverting as much as possible away from landfills and incinerators.
Goal Three
We take our associations with manufacturers seriously. Through these collaborations, we hope to educate both manufacturers and end consumers on the environmental benefits of using recycled polymers rather than virgin materials for product development. Plastic waste has become one of the UK’s most pressing environmental issues. Each year, millions of tons of plastic waste are generated across the country. Much of this is either mismanaged, incinerated or landfilled.
Globally, the production of plastic has more than doubled in the last two decades.
The chart below presents the percentage breakdown of plastic waste disposal methods from the year 2000 to 2019.
The chart above highlights a growing concern due to the way the excessive amounts of plastic waste are currently being disposed of. Polycycle is dedicated to ensuring every step of our closed loop operation is 100% reliable and efficient to prevent significant amounts of plastic waste from ending up in landfill, or being mismanaged.
Although the methods have slightly improved over the years, the unfortunate dire contrast between the percentages of disposal methods motivates us to work even harder in order to significantly improve the way in which plastic waste is handled.
Polycycle consistently works towards an ultimate goal of essentially rendering landfills useless and preventing the mismanagement of scrap plastics - transforming waste into wonder - and restoring hope for future generations.
